Abby Callaghan is an artist and educator based in Kansas City. Her work is primarily wheel-thrown ceramic with an emphasis on functional work. Inspired by liminal spaces, Bauhaus, and Brutalism, her work can be recognized by bright color gradients, striking forms, and a regular circle motif. She has been working with clay for 16 years, receiving her BFA in 2017 from the Kansas City Art Institute and an MAT from the University of Central Missouri in 2019.
