Addi Gibson is a ceramic artist from Austin, Texas, currently based in Kansas City, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics and Art History with a minor in Social Practice. Drawing on tooling patterns and family photographs, her work reflects her family’s history as laborers while examining how the mythology of the American West is reinterpreted through contemporary media. In addition to her studio practice, Gibson is a Durwood Intern at the Emily and Todd Voth Artspace and recently received the McKeown Special Project Award and Leap Entrepreneurial Award in 2026, which supported a research trip across Wyoming to expand her understanding of the American West.
