Anna Gukov is an artist and designer based in the Metro Detroit area. Working primarily in ceramics, her practice blurs the boundaries between art and design, exploring meaning as an aspect of function. Drawing on her professional background in interior and product design, she is interested in how the objects and spaces we live with embody self-understanding, cultural values, and desires. Anna holds a BDes in Industrial Design from Emily Carr University of Art + Design in Vancouver, Canada, and is currently pursuing an MFA in Ceramics at Cranbrook Academy of Art.
