Roberto Beto Carlos Gomez is a ceramist and illustrator, born and raised in Southern California. Beto is inspired by colorful cartoons and morbid religious imagery he saw growing up. Roberto is ambitious and determined, in 2019 he had to stop going to school to deal with his Leukemia diagnosis. He has been in remission since 2023. Roberto was one of the inaugural residents at Laguna Clay & Glaze (2024). He received his BFA at the Kansas City Art Institute (2025). Roberto has work in two private collections.
