Ian Hersko (1991) is an artist, educator, and curator living in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is the Chair of the First Year Experience at the Art Academy of Cincinnati and teaches in both the studio and liberal arts. In his practice, Hersko creates multimedia installations and objects that contemplate touch, loss and anti-monumentalism. Hersko creates precarious, ephemeral, and sentimental objects that contemplate meaning-making through a queer lens. Before becoming an educator, Hersko worked in social work, which informed his approach to teaching and community building.
