Reanna Navarro is a Stanislaus County- raised artist currently based in Hartford, Connecticut. She holds a double major in Graphic Design and Applied Design, with an emphasis in Ceramics, from San Diego State University, and is currently continuing her studies in the Post-Baccalaureate program at the University of Hartford. Navarro has exhibited figurative work throughout Southern California, Connecticut, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
Working primarily in clay, Navarro explores the body as something felt rather than seen, translating internal sensations of tension, discomfort, and pressure into physical form. Through shifts in texture, density, and structure, her sculptures evoke the instability and unease of lived bodily experience. Existing between the organic and the abstract, these forms suggest a familiarity that is difficult to locate or name fully. Her work considers how the body accumulates memory, stress, and emotional residue over time, connecting personal sensation to broader ideas of labor, endurance, and resilience. By externalizing these internal states, Navarro creates intimate encounters that invite viewers to recognize aspects of their own physical and emotional experiences.
